10.1 Mega Pixels Sensor Resolution, 4x Optical Zoom, 4x Digital Zoom, With Video Capture, Red Eye
Casio EXILIM Zoom EX-Z270 Review:
If you are looking for a compact digital camera packed full of features you may have just found your match. The image quality from the EX-Z270 is good but not brilliant however the camera has so many innovative features you won’t be disappointed.
The cameras specifications are modest for its price range but aren’t extraordinary, featuring a 10 mega pixel sensor and a 4x optical zoom. However with image stabilization, red eye reduction and a great HD VIDEO capture mode with 1280x720 resolution this camera is a lot of fun.
One of the most notable features of the EX-Z270 design, is its 2.7 inch LCD screen on the back of the camera. There are no manual dials and all settings are controlled through the cameras menu system accessed through the LCD Screen. This proved to be a disappointment when trying to switch settings quickly between shots, especially after each change the user is taken back to the main menu.
Its difficult to know where to start with the EX-Z270 features a good starting point is the cameras face recognition modes, six in total. We are even given a ‘detect smile mode’ which will automatically shoot a photo when it detects a person smiling. As with other models within the Casio Exilim range we can take advantage of the ‘best shot’ predefined scenarios settings, which help get the correct settings for different situations.
This camera is great for users who are looking for a little bit more from their compact digital camera, however some users may find this model overly complicated.
