Canon Power Shot A480 Review

The Canon Power Shot A480 is the perfect camera for somebody looking for a great point and shoot camera, simple, sleek and with great results. The A480 is the base model within the Power Shot series and usually retails under £100. As with most compact digital cameras under the £100 mark , you will not find a lot of the more modern features such as an ‘Image Stabilizer’ , however the camera is a great buy and ahead of most cameras in its price range.

We are provided with a 10 Mega Pixel sensor along with a 3.3x Optical Zoom, which enabled us to take some decent shots in good lighting conditions. One of the great features of this camera is its noise control, a setting which can reduce noise and improve photos.

Another feature that impressed us was its fast focusing speed, which performed well in low light conditions to. Its not as small or slim as some compact cameras mainly due to the fact that it takes AA Batteries, but it will still easily pop in your pocket.

Pros

  • Quick Auto Focus
  • Affordable
  • Great camera for simple point and shooting
  • Face recognition

Cons

  • Takes AA Batteries
  • Plastic Design
